It's been a while since I've posted because, well....life happens. And it has been happening to me a lot lately. But the beauty about my blog and my website is that I don't have to be a slave to it, right?
I've found some wonderful things in my researching lately. I've been working on my husband's Norwegian ancestry. I finally located the brother of his great-great grandma Monson. He came to America with Magnus and Sierena and baby Anton in 1870. He settled in Iowa, too--first in Polk county, then in Hamilton county, and then finally in Emmet county. I got pretty excited about all of that. I was doing my genealogy happy dance.
I also found a confirmation record for Magnus Monson and an emigration record for Magnus and Sierena.

- I grew up in the midwest and was a Spanish major at Bethel college. I then became a dental assistant and loved that job for 6 years. I've been married to my best friend since 1994 and I'm a mom to 4 beautiful children. I'm involved in "extreme parenting", which simply means I have a child with autism that requires a lot of supervision and energy. God has blessed me with this huge task and He has awesome plans for our whole family. In my "spare" time I love to research our family tree, and I've gotten very good at tracking down our Swedish and Norwegian ancestors. I enjoy being a Creative Memories consultant and helping people preserve their memories. I also love to help my husband with ministry as much as I can. My life is never dull!
