Today (March 25th) is Våffeldagen in Sweden. This is the day that celebrates the angel coming to Mary and announcing the conception of Jesus. What does that have to do with waffles? In Swedish today is called "Vårfrudagen", which sounds an awful lot like "Våffeldagen", and so we get a lovely holiday in which we get to eat delicious waffles! My kids are excited, and so am I!
