My day got off to a wonderful start this morning when I got an email (part English/part Swedish) from my cousin Anne-Lie in Sweden! I was shocked that I actually understood the Swedish part (mostly!). She sent me an adorable picture of her new grandson dressed as "jultomte" (santa claus). Thanks, Anne-Lie! She suggested I add a guestbook, so I figured out how to do that and added that today. Please sign it so I know you were visiting!
I made "skorpor" last night, which is the Swedish version of biscotti. It has a wonderful cardamom flavor and goes great with coffee. My son Alex (10) this morning was making fun of me, saying that his mom was turning into a Swedish person. (frightful, isn't it?) I laughed and told him that I already am Swedish ~ half-Swedish, anyways. What's wrong with being Swedish?? Uff da!
Since I was in an especially "Swedish mood" today, I added something for my Hallin family. On the page for Olof Harlin/Hallin I added a link to view the Hallin family in the 1910 US census. I have soooo many documents like that. I will keep on posting them as I have time. I also have many more photos that I will be adding eventually. There is just so much genealogy to do, and so little time!
If you are a relative and have a request for what you would like to see posted first on my site, just email me and give me your "vote". No promises, but it may give me some direction.
And please, pass on a link to my site to any relatives that you think might be interested. I just loooove meeting my kin!
